Turmeric powder, also known as haldi, is a bright yellow spice commonly used in Pakistani, Indian and Middle Eastern cuisine. It is derived from the root of the turmeric plant and contains curcumin, which has anti-inflammatory properties. It is also a good source of manganese, iron, and vitamin B6.
